There is something profoundly human, and natural, in our obsession with patterns. They are in stripes, checks, flowers, and graphic designs that, season after season, return as trends, confirming the cyclical memory of fashion and design. But patterns are not a human invention… they are in the veins of a leaf, in the spirals of a shell, in the waves, in the orbits, in the rings of a tree. The cosmos also works through repetition: cycles, rhythms, movements, expansion and return. And we, with our claim to uniqueness, are part of this design, this immense universal pattern.

Perhaps we seek patterns because they reassure us. Repetition is recognition, recognition is feeling that, for a moment, we know where we are. We do this in routines, behaviors, relationships, trends; even algorithms already know what we'll probably like before we do. We live surrounded by patterns and, paradoxically, obsessed with the idea of ​​being unique. We want to distinguish ourselves, but even the search for difference can turn into a pattern. We literally wear our individuality while thousands of others do the same.

But perhaps our own skin holds the answer. Lines, curves, and a pattern seemingly similar to so many others form a one of a kind fingerprint, never repeated in another human being. We are made of the same matter, we obey the same rhythms, and yet we carry a geometry that is all our own.

Perhaps breaking patterns doesn't mean destroying them, but interfering with them. It's about twisting a silhouette, disrupting a rhythm, introducing a flaw into a predictable design. Nature knows this better than anyone: no pattern is absolutely perfect. There are asymmetries, deviations, mutations. And often that's where beauty is born, the beauty of imperfection.
