A award season segue a todo o vapor, depois dos Golden Globe Awards, a The Critics Choice Association distinguiu o que de melhor se fez no Cinema e na Televisão. Da 25ª edição, os grandes vencedores foram Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood, Fleabag, Joaquin Phoenix e Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Já os homenageados desta edição foram Eddie Murphy, com o Lifetime Achievement Award, e Kristen Bell, que recebeu o prémio #SeeHer, uma distinção que reconhece uma mulher que luta pela mudança de estereótipos e pela igualdade. 

Já na passadeira vermelha, as estrelas de Hollywood não descuraram o glamour e apostaram em coordenados ultrabrilhantes, como foi o caso de Charlize Theron (em Celine) e Anne Hathaway, assim como os tons pastel que marcaram presença nos vestidos de Awkwafina e Betty Gilpin. Zendaya, a nova queridinha das red carpet, surgiu com um dos coordenados mais surpreendentes da noite: a armadura cor-de-rosa Tom Ford da primavera/verão 2020 do designer norte-americano.
