I see it, I hate it, I buy it
Once again, we blame Carrie Bradshaw. The style icon returned to the small screen with And Just Like That..., sporting a bizarre bag sculpted to look like a pigeon. The episode hadn't even finished and it was already a sensation, setting off an atypical chain of events. In fashion, what was ugly became beautiful, what was weird became the norm. Bumpy sandals took to the catwalk and frogs no longer became princes. In this love-hate relationship, we all live happily ever.
Gold digger
If the subject is accessories, then there's no need to be afraid to say it: size matters. After all, their weight is measured in gold (or other precious materials, we're not weird) and their value in eccentricity. From Daniel Roseberry's enchanted surrealism for Schiaparelli to Anthony Vaccarello's reinvented minimalism for Saint Laurent, there's a premise that holds true: the bigger, the better. Let the earrings reach the sky and the rings the ground.
Walking on sunshine
At first glance, this seems like the most popular season of the year. There's sun, vacation and the sea. All perfect, right? Wrong. There's nothing worse than summer in terms of closet. Creativity is replaced by functionality and even the lightest pieces deserve to be ripped off the body every time temperatures hit record highs. Never has nudity seemed like such a viable alternative, but in the unfortunate event that it's not possible, these pieces are the second best option.
