Everyone talks about princesses, but the tales are fairy tales.
Everyone talks about princesses, but the tales are fairy tales. Like the three who serve as godmothers to Sleeping Beauty (1959), in the most popular animated version based on the work of Charles Perrault (1697). Flora, Fauna and Merryweather make up the trio of fairies that help minimize the curse cast by Maleficent, allowing Aurora to be awakened from her deep sleep by the kiss of true love, showing that life may not be a bed of roses, but that a magical trinity can always bring some flowers to a happy ending. After all, it is no wonder that in the Brothers Grimm's version, the original title is Dornröschen - dorn meaning thorn, and röschen translating as little flowers.
