... and I'll tell you what you do for a living. Or at least I'll try. The day of a model is not the same as that of an actress and she, in turn, will occupy her twenty-four hours very differently from a communications director, an influencer or a buyer. If you've always wanted to know how other people's habits differ from your own, take advantage of this rentrée to take notes.

Gigi Vives

Gigi Vives has a creative side that is easily perceived when visiting her Instagram account, which has more than 426 thousand followers. She is one of the most relevant names in the industry, but also one of the most inspiring. The influencer's day-to-day life is busy and unpredictable, but there are two things she never skips: a good skincare routine and takeaway at the end of the day.

What wakes you up in the morning? I use the ‘bird sounds’ on my iPhone to wake up; hate aggressive alarms.

At what time? My alarm is set for 7h00.

What’s the first thing you do when you wake up? I shower, put on my bathrobe, make the bed and make some coffee. After that, I’ll check my phone.

Do you normally bounce out of bed or do you need to be dragged from the sheets? I used to wake up at 8am so my new 7am routine is still a bit hard. I like slow mornings so I will snooze a couple times but once I’m awake, I’m up. I’m definitely a morning person.

How do you set the mood for the day? My favorite thing to do in the mornings is read the news, watch Youtube interviews and videos, read articles on my fav online magazines and scroll through TikTok while I drink my coffee. I’m also writing a book now so I’m trying to journal every morning and write down thoughts, feelings, dreams… I need this little routine in the mornings to get me going and keep me updated on stuff.

Do you have a long beauty routine? I have a pretty complete skincare routine for both getting ready for bed and in the morning. I always say how funny it is that I stick to my routine even If it’s 4am and I’m drunk, tipsy or with someone. I’ve been doing it for so long I would feel weird not doing it. I cleanse, exfoliate (only 3 nights a week), tone, hydrate…I do it all and have different products for day and night. If I have to shoot content or a job, I will do face masks and eye patches for sure.

How do you choose what to wear? I don’t plan ahead unless it’s like an event or some kind of brand experience kind of day. I dress based on my mood, the weather and can have very different styles throughout the week. What I wear during the day might make no sense with what I wear out for dinner. I’m very eclectic and I feel like I have multiple style personalities

How is your typical working day? Ugh, I sometimes wish I had a typical working day. I sometimes struggle with not having a defined work routine. I do so many things. I have been working as a creative director for a brand for months now and it helps with organization and stability and I’m also writing my very first book which is interesting and is giving me a new perspective. I also have a podcast and this new season might include videos every now and then so I’m also on that… it’s all very fun and different, but it can be a lot and you have to be mentally ready to be autonomous and do a zillion things at once.

At what time do you return home? I work from home so it’s very comfortable but can be suffocating at times. I do love going to photo studios to shoot content and feel the space is cleaner, more aesthetic and easier to work at. I’m thinking of getting an office/studio with a good friend so we both get to “go somewhere” to work and be in nice company. I do get to travel quite a lot for work so that is always nice and a change of scenario makes me happy every time.

What is the first thing you do when you get home? I love to watch series and movies. I’ll light up some candles, put on some comfy sweatpants and turn on the TV. I love crime shows and old rom coms. That’s my jam. Sex and The City is also my feel-good show if I need some comfort or had a rough day.

How is your dinner time? I’m a huge takeaway addict, especially at night. I love Chinese food or soups. I’ll order in and have dinner while I watch TV. I am trying to cook more but I’m not great. For dinner I’m not usually very hungry so maybe some vichyssoise or veggie soup and loads of udon soups and ramen when it’s cold.

After dinner, do you go back to work stuff? No. I really try to wind down and have the ‘Do not disturb’ and ‘Wind down’ thing activated on my phone from 7pm to 7am. Our job makes us very addicted to our phones and hate it so much because there is no notion of time online, so I force myself to disconnect but it’s hard. I record podcasts and write at night sometimes. It’s calm and there is a lovely silence I don’t get at any other time of the day so It’s perfect.

What time do you usually go to bed? Midnight. I really need to sleep my 7-8 daily hours.
