Since its launch, in 2020, Vegtus has been standing out as one of the most innovative footwear brands that is both sustainable and cruelty-free. Made of vegan leather extracted for cacti – which besides providing endurance and durability is 100% organic –, Vegtus’ new collection is not only environmentally-friendly, but it’s also a guarantee of quality and timeless style.

The urban universe, with its constant metamorphoses, the daily hustle and bustle and the high-speed rhythm of life, may be overwhelming. It’s within that chaos that the beauty of the vibrant energy of the city spreads its wings towards creativity and innovation. Inspired by cultural diversity and the freedom of urban speech, the new Vegtus Spring-Summer collection presents a range of vegan and sustainable shoes that capture the essence of city life.

“Veg” for vegan and “tus” for cacti (catos in Portuguese): Vegtus is the perfect agglutination that gives name to the brand launched in 2020 by Cristina Sabadell, and that quickly became one of the most relevant in the sustainability realm. But Vegtus is, above all, a lifestyle philosophy, a movement. The brand recognizes the impact that daily life has on the environment and it’s in response to that premise that arises the missions to fill the gap in the market of high quality, sustainable and sophisticated shoes. With carefully selected materials, all the aspects of the production process are designed to minimize the environmental impact and promote an ethical and social commitment. The big star is the vegan leather made of cacti – that in everything resembles animal leather, but that assures an even greater durability and endurance.  Besides leather, all components that are part of the final product are plant-based and eco-sustainable, including the lances, the insole, the lining, and the sole.

“Dress how you think.” This is the brand’s proposition. In a world dominated by fast fashion, it’s important, more than ever, to be aware of the impact of our choices as consumers. Dressing of our believes is a strong declaration, with intent, which shows that sustainability is not just a trend, but a value that leads both fashion and trends. In a time where we face political, ethical, and social changes, small gestures can (really) make a difference. By using high quality materials, without animal cruelty, and having a low environmental impact, Vegtus is creating a new standard in the market of ecological footwear. The new Vegtus collection is available online, at www.vegtus.com, and in selected stores.
