It would seem that, with age, staying in is the new going out. Behaving is the new rebelling. Staying quiet is the new restlessness. Only it's not: the ways of childhood and youth don’t need to be limited to any age group, all we need to do is keep celebrating the small idiosyncrasies of youth. Like making a new friend – even a four-legged one. Like making a tent out of sheets. Like running barefoot, spending hours with a dollhouse, throwing stones in the creek. Like making the most of that day after a party, even if the exhaustion signs are still throbbing, to celebrate the "me" time, the introspection. And, by the way, please keep your voice down.
